The thing that is great about plastic balls and rubber stuff, and even the polyester stuff is you dont lose your reaction, the balls dont eat up oil. The lanes will have to be dry for you to have success, but you can score with the ball if you have some hand in the ball. I shot a 279 with a manhattan rubber in youth leagues and shot a 680 with it.

But it was bought out by someone in the 70s. So I'd figure your in the ball park at about 40 years. But mine is over 50. Because my great uncle bought his in NY back in the 50s.

I haven't bowled in a league in almost 20 years, but I wouldn't mind holding on to this one and possibly using. It's been in a garage cabinet for who knows how many years.

Even with the more lively pins and much easier lane conditions the scores would reduced by at least 15%. I have a 16# undrilled if someone is interested.

I'm looking for some info on Manhattan Rubber Bowling Balls. I just bought this Manhattan Salesman Sample Ball on eBay. The ball and box measure about 2-1/4". Are in mint condition. Trying to put an approximate date on it. Seller was an estate liquidator. I'd imagine pre-1960, maybe pre-1950, by package, which was printed letterpress.

Manhattan Rubber is the manufacturer, Hook-Trol A is the name/model of the ball, and B3450 is the serial number. Manhattan Rubber sold their name rights to Ebonite in the late 70s or early 80s, and your ball was made prior to this, so it is 40+ years old. A NIB MH rubber ball is probably worth more as a display item than as a ball at this point.
